**Voice Actor Tomoyuki Morikawa Adds His Voice to CoeFont as the AI Voice Platform Launches its beta Voice Changer!**

CoeFont Co., Ltd., a registered tech startup at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, developer and provider of services utilizing AI, announced that it will start providing a beta version of its CoeFont Voice Changer, which converts users voices in real-time, August 4th, 2023 (Friday). The beta version will provide the voices of CoeFont’s original characters, “Arial”, “Mirial” and “Averni”, free of charge. CoeFont’s Voice Changer will allow users to transform their voices into their favorite digital voices in real-time.

The widespread use of generative AI has led to the development of AI voices that replicate those of actors and singers without their consent. These voices are being used and shared without authorization, as current laws do not adequately regulate their use. This puts voice actors in a vulnerable position, as they are unable to prevent the unauthorized use of their voices or receive compensation for use. To address this issue, our service creates registered digital voices from both professional and amateur voices, and we are working on creating a system that will enable our members to receive fair compensation for the use of their digital voices.

With CoeFont Voice Changer, users can transform their voices into different voices in real-time while respecting the rights of the digital voice creator. In the beta version, users can access the voices of our original characters, “Arial”, “Mirial”, and “Averni”, at no cost. Simply download the desktop application to convert your voice into any of these characters. In addition, our team is developing a fresh, original character, “Canel,” using the digital voice of famous voice actor Tomoyuki Morikawa.

As additional voice actors convert their voices into digital voices on our platform and make them accessible to the public, we hope to compensate the digital voice creator whenever their voices are used in text-to-speak (TTS) and real-time voice changing. We aim to become a hub for digital voices, creating a safe environment for voice actors and creators to flourish in the AI era.
