CoeFont and AIdeaLab create Japanese comedian Hiroyuki Miyasako’s AI avatar
Stars on Japanese variety show, Ametalk, will be able to chat with AI Hiroyuki Miyasako in real time.
CoeFont Co., Ltd. announced that they launched AI Hiroyuki Miyasako in collaboration with AIdeaLab. The project was created for and broadcast on Japanese TV Asahi’s popular show “AmeTalk,” on Saturday 30th December.

The Japanese variety show, Ametalk, commissioned CoeFont and AIdeaLab to create an AI avatar of comedian and former host of their talk show, Hiroyuki Miyasako, as part of a unique project. With Miyasako’s permission, the teams trained the AI using past footage of the show, which included learning a vast amount of data, the length and pattern of the answers, and other relevant information to ensure natural conversation. The teams made adjustments up until the day of the programme recording to ensure a seamless and professional final product that could interact with celebrities on the show.
