AI Voice Platform, CoeFont Marks the Launch of the Free CoeFont Voice Changer Application with the Release of Toshiyuki Morikawa’s Digital Voice
CoeFont Co., Ltd. announced the release of its voice-changing application, CoeFont Voice Changer, which allows its platform members to change their voice into different characters in real-time. The application will be available to download from October 26th, 11:00 a.m. JST.

The CoeFont Voice Changer application launches today, allowing platform members to change their voices into different characters in real-time. Members with Windows configurations can download the application right to their PCs for use in online meetups, live streaming channels like Twitch, or content creation. Users can join a waitlist for the macOS version, which will be released at a later date.
CoeFont Voice Changer can be downloaded free of charge with access to 10 digital voices, or users can upgrade for $1 a month to gain access to unlimited digital voices, including the voice of legendary voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa.

Frequently requested to dub the voices of Hollywood’s leading men, Toshiyuki has one of the most recognizable voices in Japan. His credits include hit games like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Resident Evil, as well as well-known anime such as One Piece, Demon Slayer, Kingdom, and Naruto. The star is the founder and representative of talent agency Axl-One, who teamed with CoeFont this year in support of the tech company’s voice rights protection initiative.
Safeguarding the Rights of Voice Actors
Unfortunately, with the recent popularity of generative AI, there has been a rise in cases where the voices of voice actors and celebrities are being converted into AI voices and then shared and used without their consent. The current laws in Japan are limited and cannot fully protect voice rights and their usage. As a result, voice actors have been unable to prevent the unethical use of their voices.
CoeFont has been working to protect the voice rights of its members since it was first founded, creating a system to provide revenue to all its community members, professional or amateur, for the use of their digital voices. Now, the company has gone a step further. By creating the Voice Right Protection Initiative, CoeFont aims to set a precedent in safeguarding voice rights and promoting the ethical use of AI technology.
